Today we are tracking mostly sunny skies to start our Friday. Some afternoon clouds will pop up in the heat of the day and we will bring in a very slight shower / thundershower chance with the focus again being in southern sections. Most of us will stay dry, however, allowing temperatures to reach the mid to upper 90s.
This evening partly cloudy skies will give way to mostly clear conditions overnight and temperatures bottoming out in the lower 70s.
Saturday and Sunday will both produce sunny starts evolving into a mix of clouds and sun in the afternoon hours. Flow off the Gulf of Mexico will keep tropical moisture in the picture and isolated thundershowers should again roam the region. Any showers that do develop will be widely scattered and most areas will stay rain-free. Highs are expected in the mid 90s, lows in the lower 70s.
Into early next week, easterly flow will continue into West Central Texas. Morning sunshine followed by afternoon clouds and very slight thundershower chances are the going forecast at this time. High temperatures should relax into the lower 90s by midweek.
