Good Wednesday morning everyone! A new weather pattern begins to take shape today and for most folks it will be a much better one.
After some localized freezing fog early on this Wednesday, mostly sunny skies emerge this morning and stay with us for the remainder of the afternoon as highs finally get above freezing and aim for the lower 50s. Winds will be light and from the north as high pressure settles overhead.
Tonight we drop off into the lower 30s under mostly clear conditions.
Plentiful sunshine is expected for our Thursday with just a few high clouds from time to time. The mercury soars to around 70 degrees. West southwest winds from 5-10mph will become northerly in the afternoon.
Thursday night stays tranquil with clear skies and a low around 40.
Friday a weak cold front rolls through in the early morning hours but it will not have much effect on our sensible weather other than introduce some high clouds throughout the day. Highs will reach the middle 60s.
The weekend shows sharp warming with readings rocketing into the upper 70s to lower 80s across West Texas. South southwest winds will blow from 10-15mph both afternoons.
A cold front is predicted to enter the Big Country on Monday afternoon. At this point it appears as though we will reach very warm levels once again before any cooling comes in for Monday evening. Look for sunshine and some high clouds through the day with highs in the middle 70s.
Conditions stay quiet on Tuesday with partly cloudy skies and the thermometer running back up to near 70 degrees.
