On this Wednesday before Thanksgiving we are tracking beautiful weather conditions across West Texas. Highs today will make it into the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.
Some high clouds will stream across the sky from the southwest later this morning and afternoon, but we still expect a good amount of sunshine through the day. Winds from the south at 5mph are not expected to be much of a factor.
Tonight skies will clear and lows will drop down to near freezing by the early morning hours of Thursday. South winds will come in at 5-10mph.
Thanksgiving is shaping up to be absolutely gorgeous throughout all of our viewing area with plentiful sunshine and highs in the upper 50s. Winds will blow from the south around 10mph.
Friday through the weekend the warming trend does continue. The mercury will rise to near 60 on Friday and into the middle 60s for Saturday and Sunday. Lots of sunshine will be seen right on through the holiday period with only a few clouds from time to time.
Early next week a storm system will gather strength in the Rockies and generate southwesterly flow across our area. This means that warmer air will be pumped in here for a couple days on the front side, or “warm sector”, of the storm. We may be pushing into the 70s for a short period before a cold front sweeps through and cools things down.
