The first day of summer was back in the third week of June. That was the day with the longest amount of sunlight. However, it typically takes about six weeks for the atmosphere to reach the "normal" hottest readings of the year.
Our weather is going to be dominated by an area of high pressure that should keep rain chances away and temperatures around 100 each afternoon through Thursday.
Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. If possible, avoid working outdoors in the afternoon and early evening when temperatures are the highest. Check on your outdoor pets to see that they have water and shade.
