ABILENE, Texas -

We've had low temperatures in the lower 60s and upper 50s earlier this week.  However, south winds have returned and are bringing warm air back to our region.

Temperatures Thursday afternoon were in the middle 90s over much or our area.  The normal high temperature in Abilene for early July is 93 and the normal low is 71.  So, welcome back to typical summer conditions.

Look for temperatures around 70 Friday morning and in the lower 70s Saturday and Sunday mornings.  High temperatures should be in the middle 90s Friday through Monday.

Rain chances are still too low to mention for Friday through Sunday.  We are tracking a weak disturbance in the western Gulf of Mexico that is forecast to drift westward.  This feature may help to return shower chances to our region for Tuesday.
