Chelsea Humphrey: Blazing heat expected through the end of the week
The triple digit heat will continue into the start of your weekend but slightly cooler temps are in the forecast.
Wednesday we'll see plenty sunshine with highs around 100 degrees. South winds won't bring us much relief, only coming in at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight we're tracking clear skies with temps in the mid 70s.
Thursday, more of the same as highs warm to the century mark. We'll see a few clouds with showers just out of our area.
We'll keep the highs warming into the low triple digits Friday and Saturday with nighttime temps cooling into the mid 70s.
A disturbance will bring a bit more moisture back to the forecast which will translate to a little more cloud cover. Highs will warm into the upper 90s.
Slight rain chances are expected overnight Sunday and into Monday, especially in the Heartland, as that distuabance moves west across the state.
Things will dry out Tuesday with highs warming back into the mid to upper 90s.
