Chelsea Humphrey: Tracking rain chances through Wednesday night
Another round of showers and storms are possible beginning Wednesday afternoon.
We're tracking a clear start to the day with temperatures in the low 70s. Showers and storms are moving through the Texas Panhandle and have a chance of holding together and moving into our northern counties through the morning.
These showers will dissipate through the day but could leave behind outflow boundaries that would be the focal point for shower and storm development this afternoon.
Storms are also likely to develop along the dryline in New Mexico this afternoon. These storms have the chance of holding together and moving into the northern Big Country overnight. Highs today will warm into the low to mid 90s.
Thursday starts out in the low 70s before warming up into the mid 90s by the afternoon. We'll fall into a quiet weather pattern for the rest of the forecast thanks to a ridge of high pressure. Over the next several days, storms will be possible well out to our west but will dissipate before nearing the Big Country.
Highs Thursday through next Tuesday will warm into the mid to upper 90s before cooling into the low to mid 70s at night.
