After five days of showers in our region, dry weather is forecast for Friday.
The upper level low that helped bring at least three inches of rain to our region has moved too far away to create showers in our area Friday.
We are tracking another weak disturbance near the Texas / Louisiana border Thursday evening. This could trigger afternoon showers in areas east of Abilene Saturday and again Monday. The rest of our region will likely continue dry.
Temperatures should be in the lower 90s Friday and back into the low to middle 90s for the weekend and early next week. Upper 90s could be with us again by the middle of the upcoming week.
Remember to pour out the rain water from empty containers to help reduce the mosquito population explosion that is coming.
