Anthony Domol: Generally dry weather Wednesday
Sunshine will greet us early on Wednesday morning, but a few clouds will again move in toward the noon hour and beyond. Rain chances today look pretty minimal but with residual moisture still hanging on we cannot rule out a widely scattered thundershower across the viewing area. High temperatures will be around 90 degrees. South southeast winds will go at 10-15mph.
Tonight expect skies to become mostly clear with a low in the upper 60s.
Thursday will start with a good amount of sunshine and become partly cloudy in the afternoon hours. A continued slight afternoon pop-up thundershower chance will be left in the forecast. Most of us will stay dry. High temperatures will climb close to 90 degrees or just slightly above.
On Friday, a cold front will be dropping out of the Central Plains, but will not make it all the way into West Texas. Depending on just how much southward headway the front can make, a few thundershowers could develop Friday afternoon in the northern Big Country. As of now, however, we are keeping rain chances only around 10%. Otherwise, expect partly cloudy skies and highs in the lower 90s.
We are still expecting the weekend to remain dry. This will be good news for those looking to enjoy the last couple of days out at the West Texas Fair and Rodeo. Lots of sunshine and readings ranging from 90 into the lower 90s is in the forecast.
