ABILENE, Texas -

We tracked heavy rainfall moving through mainly areas south of I-20 Thursday.  Most of San Angelo received over two inches of rain.  Bronte, Coleman and Brownwood all measured more than one and a quarter inch of rainfall.

Rainfall totals for Abilene and Sweetwater were around one third of an inch.  Areas north of I-20 received less that one tenth of an inch of rain Thursday.

We are tracking a cold front that should move into the Big Country Friday morning.  This should bring heavier showers and isolated thundershowers to areas north of I-20 Friday morning.  One inch of rainfall will be possible.

The front should be around I-20 around noon and just north of I-10 by sunset Friday.  The heavy rainfall threat will continue for areas mainly south of I-20 for Friday afternoon.   Do NOT drive through any flooded roads!

Most of the heavy rain will likely be south of our region by kickoff Friday evening.  However, we could see a few light showers lingering Friday night.

Dry weather and milder temperatures are still expected for Saturday and Sunday.
