Chelsea Humphrey: Increasing rain chances through the weekend
We'll see a good chance for showers and storms by the end of the weekend.
Friday, look for a hot afternoon as high temperatures warm to 100 degrees. Mostly sunny skies will continue but we'll bring in slight rain chances later this afternoon. Overnight, the rain chances will dissipate with temperatures cooling into the mid 70s.
Saturday, more of the same, as highs warm into the triple digits. During the afternoon, scattered showers will be possible but otherwise, most of us will stay dry.
We'll see a disturbance move in from the east, bringing in better rain chances by the end of the weekend. Look for a 30% chance for showers and thundershowers. More cloud cover will accompany this disturabance, making for highs in the low to mid 90s.
Monday will be similar. The day will start out in the mid 70s before only warming into the upper 80s and low 90s by the afternoon. We're tracking the chances for rain continuing into Monday afternoon.
The disturbance will move west beginning Tuesday, but the rain chances linger as moisture continues to filter in from the Gulf Coast. Highs will begin warming up slowly. Mostly cloudy skies and a 20% chance for showers will make for afternoon temps in the low 90s.
Wednesday, our rain chances dissipate even more with just a slight chance for scattered showers. Highs will stay in the low 90s through Thursday.
