Today we are tracking a cold front moving south into West Central Texas. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with a 40% chance for showers and thundershowers to develop particularly in the afternoon and early evening hours. An isolated strong thunderstorm is possible.
Highs on Friday will be in the lower 70s with south winds going at 10-15 mph.
Tonight we maintain the 40% chance for scattered showers and thundershowers through mid-evening. Drier weather and clearing will commence overnight allowing for temperatures to quickly fall into the lower 40s by Saturday morning.
The weekend weather picture looks beautiful and very October-like.
Sunny skies on Saturday will only get readings into the middle 60s. On Sunday, however, a warmer surge of air drives temperatures closer to seasonal norms in the mid 70s.
Early next week we do not see any big warm-ups on the horizon. In fact, below normal temperatures in the lower 70s should continue into Wednesday. Rain chances look minimal at this point.
