A strong cold front blew in late Friday. It brought scattered thunderstorms and strong winds. Winds gusted to 46 mph in Abilene and Snyder when the front arrived.
Those strong north winds brought very cold air to our region. Look for temperatures in the upper 30s at sunrise Saturday under fair skies.
Nice sunshine with light south winds returning in the afternoon should help warm temperatures Saturday afternoon back into the middle 60s.
Another chilly night is expected for Saturday night - especially in the Heartland. Temperatures in the Brownwood area should drop into the upper 30s with a frost possible. Elsewhere, look for low temperatures Sunday morning in the low to middle 40s.
Strong south winds are forecast for Sunday at 15-25 mph. Sunday afternoon temperatures should be in the middle 70s.
South winds should help keep temperatures from dropping below the 50s Sunday night.
