ABILENE, Texas -

We tracked severe thunderstorms through Brown, Eastland and McCulloch counties Monday afternoon.  Up to ping pong ball size hail was reported near Early with quarter size hail reported just east of Bangs, in Brownwood and Brady. 

Also heavy rainfall was reported in the 1 to 2 inch range in areas on the north side of Brownwood and Early.  Almost one inch or rain was measure in Brady.

Storms have moved a little farther south and east and the severe weather risk has moved out or our area. 

We are tracking a fairly strong upper level disturbance that is forecast to move through our region Tuesday night.  As this feature approaches, we should see clouds returning early Tuesday.

Scattered showers are forecast for Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night.  Heavier thundershowers will be possible mainly late Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday evening.  Expect lightning with the heavier downpours.

Clearing skies are forecast for Wednesday with fair skies expected for Wednesday night through Sunday. 

Temperatures will be cool with lows in the 40s Tuesday morning and only in the lower 60s for highs Tuesday afternoon.  Lower 40s are possible for Wednesday morning with highs in the 70s for Wednesday.  Look for 80s for highs Thursday and Friday and around 90 again Saturday and Sunday.
