A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for our western counties until 11 pm. Storms are developing near midland Wednesday afternoon and are forecast to move eastward into our area.
Weather dangers from the strong storms include lightning, large hail and damaging winds. The storms are forecast to be out of our area by midnight.
We are tracking a cold front that should move in Thursday and bring back showers and thunderstorms to mainly our heartland areas for Thursday afternoon. Partly cloudy skies and milder temperatures are expected for Thursday night and Friday.
There is a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms for mainly our western areas for Friday night. Partly cloudy and very warm conditions are forecast for Saturday through Wednesday with high temperatures in the middle 90s each day.
