ABILENE, Texas -

The dryline is forecast to remain well to our west for the next several days.  This boundary will trigger afternoon thunderstorms that should move eastward into western Texas most evenings.  However the storms will likely dissipate before they would get into our area.

An area of high pressure is forecast to build over our region over the next several days.  This should help to keep our skies mostly fair and our temperatures above normal for this time of the year.

Watch out for strong south winds through the weekend.  Daytime wind speeds should be in the 20 to 30 mph range.

Look for afternoon readings in the middle to upper 90s through Friday.  Morning low temperatures should only fall into the lower 70s.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and wear sunscreen.
