Chelsea Humphrey: Mild temperatures continue through Independence Day
Many will see afternoon highs in the 80s through the middle of the week.
Tuesday morning, temps will begin in the low to mid 60s. Mostly clear skies will stick around through the afternoon with temperatures in the upper 80s.
We're tracking the chance for showers west of the Big Country but a few showers may make it into our western counties. For now, the chances are too low to add to the forecast.
Wednesday will begin with near record lows, in the low 60s. The record low for July 3rd is 62 degrees.
By the afternoon we're tracking highs in the upper 80s. There's a slight chance for showers in the afternoon and evening as a disturbance moves into the state.
The rain chances will return on Thursday with scattered showers possible through the afternoon. We'll see highs Independence Day will warm into the low 90s.
Friday begins in the upper 60s before warming into the low 90s under mostly clear skies. We'll keep the highs in the low 90s through Saturday.
By Sunday we're into the mid 90s with a slight chance for afternoon showers. Monday, we'll continue with the mid 90s with partly cloudy skies.
