ABILENE, Texas -

Dry weather continues through Thursday but rain chances start looking better as we head into the weekend.

This evening we'll see clear skies with lows in the mid 50s.

Wednesday, winds are a bit breezier from the south at 10 to 20 mph. We'll see mostly sunny skies with highs back in the mid 80s.

Thursday starts out in the upper 50s before warming to around 84 by the afternoon.

Friday begins in the mid 60s with highs topping out in the mid 80s.

The dryline will approach the region from the west, bringing in a 10% chance for showers and storms.

Any rain will end overnight, leaving behind partly cloudy skies and lows in the low 60s.

Saturday, a weak cold front will stall across the area. This front will serve as the focal point for showers and thunderstorms Saturday and Saturday night.

A series of disturbances will keep rain chances going Sunday and Monday with highs warming into the low to mid 80s both days.

Overnight Monday we're tracking a stronger cold front that will push any showers off to our southeast.

Tuesday will begin around 60 degrees as the front continues to make its way through. Afternoon highs will only warm to around 70 degrees.
