We have been on the southern edge of an upper level high pressure system. This has been bringing us well above normal temperatures - especially to our northern areas - for the past few days.
A weak upper level disturbance is forecast to move around the edge this high pressure area and move into our region Saturday afternoon. This should help trigger widely scattered afternoon showers and thundershowers Saturday. Watch out for lightning and brief, but heavy rainfall.
Even with the shower chances, temperatures should climb back into the middle 90s Saturday afternoon. Look for above normal temperatures to continue well in the upcoming week with generally dry weather.
