Chelsea Humphrey: Stormy weather possible Monday afternoon
Scattered storms will be possible south of I-20 Monday afternoon.
We'll keep mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures in the forecast for much of the day but as we start to heat into the mid 90s, showers and thunderstorms will be possible. Along I-20 those rain chances will be around 10% but those rain chances go up to 20% as you head toward the Concho Valley and Heartland.
Tonight, any showers that develop will fizzle out, leaving behind fair skies. We'll cool into the mid 70s overnight.
Tuesday, we'll stay mostly clear with highs in the mid to upper 90s. Scattered showers will be possible during mid-day as a weak disturbance moves across the state.
Wednesday will start out in the mid 70s with temps warming up into the upper 90s.
High pressure will dig in its heels through the middle of the week with sunny skies staying in place through Friday. Look for highs warming into the mid to upper 90s with a few triple digits likely.
Friday night, we're tracking the chance showers and storms as a cold front stalls out to our north. This front isn't expected to move all the way into the region, but will rather wash out before it arrives.
Into the weekend we'll see dry weather with highs continuing into the upper 90s.
