ABILENE, Texas -

Another very warm and muggy day is forecast for Thursday with highs in the upper 90s and heat index values around 100.  There is a slight chance of a pop up afternoon thundershower.

We are tracking a cold front that looks to move into our region Friday.  It should create showers and thunderstorms as it moves in Friday afternoon and Friday evening.  Expect frequent lightning and locally heavy rainfall.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to be south or our region Saturday.  Look mostly fair skies and a little cool down Saturday with highs in the lower 90s.  Middle 90s are forecast for Sunday with partly cloudy skies.
