Dry weather and fairly normal August temperatures have been with us Sunday and Monday. A similar situation is expected for Tuesday.
We are tracking weak disturbances drifting westward from the Gulf of Mexico. These should help create afternoon and early evening thundershowers in the Heartland Wednesday.
Afternoon shower chances should continue for the Heartland and extend westward into the Concho Valley Thursday. We are expecting afternoon shower chances to stay Friday and Saturday for areas mainly south of I-20.
High temperatures are forecast to be in the middle 90s for the rest of the week. Morning low temperatures should be around 70 Tuesday morning and in the lower 70s for the rest of the work week.
