Tracking cooler temperatures to come
After one last day of triple digit heat, cooler temperatures are on the way.
Temperatures Saturday afternoon warmed into the triple digits for many. Overnight we'll see lows cooling into upper 60s. We'll see the chance for showers and thunderstorms thanks to a disturbance that's dropping south through the Rockies.
Sunday, the rain chances continue as another disturbance sweeps into the area. Highs will warm into the low 90s with a northeast wind at 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday night we'll cool into the mid 60s with partly cloudy skies. There is a slight chance for showers in our western counties that will carry over into Monday as well. We're tracking a reinforcing shot of cool air Monday that will keep afternoon highs in the upper 80s.
The rain chances will end as we head into the evening hours. Overnight we'll cool things down into the low to mid 60s.
Tuesday, the rain chances go out of the forecast. We'll keep the highs in the upper 80s. Overnight we'll cool into the upper 60s with mostly cloudy skies.
Partly to mostly cloudy skies stay in the forecast through the rest of the week and into your weekend. That will help moderate afternoon temps a bit with the low 90s expected through Saturday.
