We tracked a wind shift line through the region - a former cold front - Wednesday. This feature did help create isolated thundershowers Wednesday afternoon and evening. The showers have faded for Wednesday night.
This wind shift is forecast to move back north through the Big Country Thursday afternoon. So, we could see isolated afternoon thundershowers north of I-20 Thursday afternoon.
Even with some clouds and possible showers, temperatures should still climb to around 100 over our region Thursday afternoon.
An area of high pressure is forecast to settle over our area Friday and remain in our region into the upcoming week. This will keep us generally dry and hot. Look for afternoon temperatures around 100 Friday through Monday.
