Chelsea Humphrey: Thundershowers return to the forecast Tuesday
We're tracking the chance for scattered thundershowers this morning and afternoon.
Most will wake up to cloudy skies that will persist throughout the day. Slight rain chances will be in place for the morning hours but showers are more likely Tuesday afternoon.
Highs will warm into the upper 80s and low 90s.
Mostly cloudy skies continue this evening with showers coming to an end. Lows will cool into the upper 60s.
Wednesday, things look drier with just a 10% chance for rain throughout the day. Highs will warm to around 90 degrees.
Thursday, we're tracking abundant moisture as the remnants of Hurricane Ingrid move north into the state.
Highs will warm into the upper 80s.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue overnight with lows cooling into the upper 60s.
Heavy rain will be possible again on Friday as a weak cold front moves into the region. This front, combined with the moisture lingering from Ingrid will bring about a 30% chance for showers and storms.
We'll dry out overnight with lows cooling into the mid 60s.
Saturday, partly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 80s.
Sunday and Monday, more of the same as highs warm into the upper 80s with lows at night cooling into the mid to upper 60s.
